Hi there – I am the granddaughter of the missing 6th Zakim in your photo. My grandfather, Max was brother to David, Bluma, Katie, Ida and Morris. Unfortunately, I never knew my grandfather who passed away in 1945. But I did have the good fortune to know the other Zakim “kids”. I don’t know if you have a copy of the family tree – “Scattered Seeds” I believe is the name of it. A cousin of our grandparent’s grandchild who has written over 128 math books and who was the chair of the math dept at U of Ill in Chicago wrote the books. When you see this – it is amazing – and something I think only a mathematician could write I am generation “13″ in the book, with my mother -Sylvia (Sippy) Zakim being in the “12th” and her dad (Max) and his siblings being in the “11th” generation. I believe this makes you generation “14″. I do vaguely remember Esther Tableman – was that your grandmother? Anyway, just wanted to say hello to a cousin.
