Grumble...just leave me alone...grumble.

Grumble...just leave me alone...grumble.

Josh just wants tea. I am amazed how he is always in a good mood, even at this time of the morning.

I am pointing to where we found out info on the printout. It was kind of easy...all the foreigners were in First Class.

El Conquistador Resort – Waldorf Astoria

I just had to write about this because my review on Expedia was rejected. Please be careful before you book into this hotel. The El Conquistador Resort – Waldorf Astoria is the farthest things from luxury, glamor or relaxation.

We left after about 10 hours. Here are the lowlights:

We were woken up by screaming [...]

Some Notes on Agile

The purpose of this post is to give a very short template of what each project should do to work in the Agile framework and with Rally (our project mgmt tool). Now that a lot of you have had some exposure to Rally and Agile this seems like a logical next step.

To start: a [...]

I, For One, Welcome The Chaos

Take a read. Be sad. Then realize that you might have to learn what eschatology is a little sooner than you thought.

The Oil Drum | Possible Responses to Peak Oil: Some Lessons from the Past.

Is it possible that the “elders” knew what they were talking about in the end days? A system so powerful [...]

Dumb Stay Dumb

I am listening to NPR yesterday as normal and this snippet came up : Agatha Christie And Nuns Tell A Tale Of Alzheimers : NPR.

I was struck by one thought as I listened. It would seem that if you are dumb, you stay dumb, and you get dumber!

Hackintosh and Geekiness

I am the proud owner of a hackintosh. Yes I know this is not allowed by the rules, but I wanted to see how easy it was and really would like an OS X box to sit here and stream media to my TV when my laptop is in use.

My new plan is to [...]

aquaDRAMA Modifications & Update

I am trying to harder to make quick updates to the blog. If only I had this magical thing that took my ideas and transcribed them. In that vein here is a little update on what I have done to aquaDRAMA lately that changed me home for the better.

I bought acoustic foam and ran [...]

Dissolution of The USA – Terror and Immigration

I would like to posit that we are really in trouble. There are a few quick openers that I want to point out just to get to the serious two:

We are in trouble because of our collective unwillingness to deal with our addiction to oil. Nothing boils my blood more than seeing a h2 with [...]

Ducati Goodbye : An Italian Lemon

I bought my first Ducati over 10 year ago, a Monster 900S. A fun bike that I rode my first miles on, my frist DESMO tour, and my first crash.

Most of you probably dont know who I am, but depending upon who you ask, I was one of the first few guys to help [...]

A few photos from this year’s NYBG Orchid Show.

A Little Sick of Snowe

Dearest Snowe-monster-

I appreciate what you and others are doing to help people regarding the closing of the seafood processing plant in Prospect Harbor. I have to ask, however, as a Republican and tied to their near ethically bankrupt views on businesses, isn’t interfering in free market rapacious capitalism against you party line? Don’t actions [...]

Currency Collection

A little trinket of my travels augmented by a couple friendly additions can be found on the inside cover my my work portfolio – by Il Bisonte of course, now mass market crap here (and by that I mean Gucci, Prada, Fendi, LV, etc…). Also in there are my tickets to Petra and the Prado. [...]

Kolkata, India

Josh took this photo of me waiting on the platform of the New Delhi Railway Station with all of our luggage as we learned that the train would be 5 hours late. I was warned this might happen and at this point in the vacation we were both more that used to things in [...]

Agra, India

Nathan not really awake on the train. We got up early again to catch a train. This one was a two person sleeper with no food. As you can see it is pretty roomy. We had a nice wake up ride.

This is one of the corner towers of the Jahangiri Mahal in the [...]

Jaipur, India

If I recall this moment, I had been looking out the window at the people sleeping in the mud, the outdoor pit toilets, and the general state of how people live. I started to tear up at one point. It can be overwhelming how people live – the squalor and poverty.

I wanted a [...]

Delhi, India

Josh and I started out our tour of Delhi by getting a cab to The Red Fort where we wandered around and acclimated ourselves to Delhi.

A quick walk across the street landed us in the front of Jama Masjid one of the largest Mosques in Asia. The area the mosque was pretty filthy [...]
