✡ Nathan wrote this entry on Saturday, 11th of December 2010 at 05:17:27 PM I warn you, this is a ramble or sorts, and It definitely might make you wonder what I am up to on a Saturday afternoon, but my intent is to be though provoking. I observe Shabbat as much as I can, and a day of no technology and thinking, well makes a guy think!
I [...]
✡ Ellie wrote this entry on Monday, 26th of October 2009 at 10:59:40 AM Okay Dad, it appears as if there is yet another lapse in my popular culture education. All of a sudden there is a pumpkin in the house with colored leaves and everything is orange! I also noticed, when walking with G-Mom, the orange lights and orange decorations. I knew it is too early for Christmas, [...]
✡ Slobbie wrote this entry on Wednesday, 20th of May 2009 at 09:30:42 AM Hi Ellie, What’s waggin? Well Cart and I miss you. I am writing because Cart still has educational delays that Mom has not corrected. I am the only one with the formal training to write to you. Any way, nothing too new here. We did get back our marrow bones after you left…don’t think you [...]

✡ Nathan wrote this entry on Monday, 8th of October 2007 at 10:26:11 PM This evening marked the real official end to the massive holiday season, which has left exhausted. A group of us broke down 2 of them in about 3 hours. I am a little sad the season is over, it was a lot of fun this year, but I am also glad to have wrapper it [...]
✡ Nathan wrote this entry on Thursday, 27th of September 2007 at 02:00:44 PM We are in the midst of the holiday whirlwind! Since the end of Yom Kippur I have helped assemble 2 sukkahs, including the communal one at the PATH station in Hoboken. This one in particular needed some intense tree trimming to make it kosher. 3 of us were climbing, sawing, pruning, and running around until [...]
✡ Nathan wrote this entry on Sunday, 16th of September 2007 at 06:00:51 PM When we spend all our efforts in hyper commercialization all uniqueness is removed.
An apt comparison is that of wheat; whole unbleached wheat is hardly processed and remains full of minerals and good fibers whereas hyper processed wheat has to have chemically produced nutrition added back in.
Someday people will, I hope, revolt against this [...]
✡ Nathan wrote this entry on Wednesday, 12th of September 2007 at 06:44:47 PM My involvement with USH started when I decided to answer an ad in the shofar to help with the building. I thought, well I know how to fix stuff and am not afraid of dirt, so lets see where this goes.
That is how I bet Barry Grossman. He met me in front of the [...]
✡ Nathan wrote this entry on Saturday, 11th of August 2007 at 08:40:14 PM 6396 So another Biblically ordained day of rest passes into memory…
What was on my mind this Shabbat? I was thinking about the relationship between certain classes here in the my area. How basically people like me ignore and avoid certain other classes in the name of PCness. Simply put, we are not allowed to [...]

A gift certificate to Artscroll that allowed me to get a new Tanach and some missing back volumes of the Bavli Talmud, a new bulb for my fishtank, a cool Lego car kit, some misc books and magazine, a [...]
✡ Nathan wrote this entry on Monday, 4th of December 2006 at 06:01:14 AM I left work tonight at 11 and walked past Macy’s holiday windows. I had a huge grin on my face before I knew what was happening. They are pretty cool this year. I don’t know if you can tell but the dragon’s eyes are TV’s showing people looking in at him.

✡ Nathan wrote this entry on Wednesday, 22nd of November 2006 at 09:12:02 PM I walked out of my office tonight at about 7 with thoughts of the holiday on my mind. As I walked by starbucks I saw the decrepit old homeless lady I frequently see in the area. It is cold and raining so she is inside reciting names and numbers from an old phone book. I [...]
