My fourth tank is currently sitting in my living room waiting to be setup. This is another leap forward in the history of aduaDRAMA.
Background: The current tank suffered a rather bad leak last week. The overflow sprang an air leak, causing the tank to overflow as the pump continued to pump water out of [...]

I wanted to list out in detail what is living in my tank. There are many things, some purchased, some surprises, and some just seemed to show up. I will admit that some of the hitchhikers are a guess on my part from doing research on the internet.

I really need to post more about my fish tank. It is one of my core hobbies and I spend more time thinking about it than I do writing. There is so much to share about how I have managed to make this thing work.
The most recent change is that I gave away my [...]

I am trying to harder to make quick updates to the blog. If only I had this magical thing that took my ideas and transcribed them. In that vein here is a little update on what I have done to aquaDRAMA lately that changed me home for the better.
I bought acoustic foam and ran [...]

aquaDRAMA was suffering from a lot of algae growth as a result of overfeeding I would imagine. That always seems to be the case, how to balance the needs of the hungry fish with the closed system.
This post if an take of KISS and how much work a tank can be.
When I returned [...]

7976|50I returned from my trip to LA to find aquaDRAMA in a state of craziness! Three fish are missing, I suspect this is what transpired:
The angler was occasionally stalking my goby. Well, goby is no where to be found and angler is very fat and happy! Bette, my Longfin Fairy Wrasse, is MIA. She has disappeared [...]

So it has been a long time since I wrote regularly on this thing. I have no singular excuse, but a combination of a few. I thought it was about time to just post a general update to what has been going on in the last 4-5 months. A quick list:
I sold my first [...]

I have not posted on aquaDRAMA in a long time! Here are some of the things that have changes over the last couple months: Some kind of strange slime as growing on the back of the tank, and when I tried to remove it there was a serious decline in oxygen levels in the tank. This resulted [...]

I have 2 clams in my tank, don’t ask me to get into detailed binomial nomenclature, one is blue and one is gold. The gold one hasnt been doing so well lately and I wondered what might be causing it stress. 4 days ago I picked it up and many little white snails fell into [...]

Recently I added a Tamaria starfish to my tank and it seems to have suffered a bit of acclimation stress, from which it seems to be healing. It is very active often crossing the tank and back in a few minutes until it seems to find something it likes to eat. It has many orange [...]
